Use of the secondary battery charger in a vehicle
The use of a second battery charger makes sense if an inverter or other 12 V consumers are used more frequently in a vehicle. To avoid excessive discharge of the starter battery, it is recommended to install a second battery as well as a second battery charger. Please note that inverters or 12 V consumers are only connected to the second battery. If the second battery is exhausted, the engine can still be started via the starter battery.
Use of the secondary battery charger in the context of a solar island system
Thanks to the intelligent charge management of the secondary battery charger, the energy produced at peak times can be easily and effectively stored in a second battery. In this way, the energy supply of particularly important consumers can be ensured at any time in a simple manner. Examples of use Important consumers that must always function, such as alarm systems or cooling devices, are connected to the primary battery. The secondary battery supplies power to less important consumers, such as TV or radio sets.
Practical control LED
The practical control LED of the second battery charger informs you at any time whether the batteries connected to the second battery charger are connected in parallel. Charging of the second battery becomes possible in this operating state.
E-certification – suitable for permanent installation in the vehicle
The IVT secondary battery charger meets the legal requirements of the ECE regulations and therefore has the E-certification. It is suitable for permanent installation in all vehicles with road approval, such as passenger cars, utility vehicles or other vehicles with an on-board voltage of 12V.
3 year manufacturer warranty
IVT products are manufactured to a high quality and following strict quality guidelines. We are certain about the longevity so that we add another year to the statutory manufacturer warranty free of charge. Rechargeable batteries and batteries are excluded from this warranty.
