This NMEA2000 connection cable makes the BMV-700 monitor data available to NMEA2000 networks. Information regarding batteries, such as voltage, current, and charge status, can also be displayed on general displays supplied by other manufacturers that are capable of receiving NMEA2000 data.
Limitations:
• The cable cannot be used with other VE.Direct products, such as solar chargers, inverters, or BMV-712 Smart or SmartShunt units.
• When used with the BMV-702 device, the operation of the AUX auxiliary function in the BMV device is limited: when measuring the starter battery voltage, the voltage value is transmitted to the NMEA2000 network. However, when measuring temperature and/or mid-voltage, the data is not transmitted to the NMEA2000 network.
DISPUTABLE: this interface cable is disputable. Instead, use a GX device – it works better and offers more features. More detailed information can be found in this NMEA 2000 chapter. Also, be sure to read the Marine MFD assembly guide.
