The cable between the VE.Direct and the VE.CAN interface makes the BMV-7 data available to the VE.Can network. For example, in cases where it can be read by a Color Control GX device.
Limitations:
• The interface cable cannot be used with other VE.Direct products such as solar chargers, inverters and the BMV-712 Smart device.
• When used together with the BMV-72 device, the AUX function in the BMV device is limited: when measuring the starter battery voltage, the voltage value is transmitted to the VE.Can device. However, when measuring the temperature and/or medium voltage, the data is not transmitted to the VE.Can device.
EXCEPTIONAL: this interface cable is subject to objections. Use a GX device instead - it works better and offers more features. For more details, see this NMEA 2 chapter. Also, be sure to read the Marine MFD Assembly Guide.
