The VE.Bus Smart dongle is actually two products in one:
Firstly, it provides a Bluetooth-enabled accessory for our range of inverters/chargers: Multi, MultiPlus, MultiPlus-II, MultiGrid, MultiGrid-II, Quattro units, as well as the entire Phoenix inverter range, have a VE.Bus connector. Once installed, the VictronConnect app can be used to monitor the system and operate the system itself: modify the input current limit, and switch between off, on and charge only modes.
Secondly, it also acts as a voltage and temperature sensor for the inverter/charger. This is applicable to all types.
In terms of monitoring, the device offers a great alternative for caravans, smaller yachts and motorhomes where the use of Color Control GX or Venus GX is too remote an option.
