The VE.Bus Smart dongle is actually two products in one:
First, it provides Bluetooth capability for our product family of inverters/chargers: Multi, MultiPlus, MultiPlus-II, MultiGrid, MultiGrid-II, Quattro units, as well as the entire range of Phoenix inverters equipped with VE.Bus connectors. Once installed, the system's operation can be monitored and operated via the VictronConnect app: the input current limit can be modified, and it can switch between off, on, and charger-only modes.
Secondly, it also functions as a voltage and temperature sensing device for the inverter/charger. This is applicable to all types.
In terms of monitoring, the device offers a great alternative for caravans, smaller yachts, and RVs where using the Color Control GX or Venus GX may be too distant an option.
