The BMS 12/200 is a battery management system designed for Victron lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) smart batteries. It is specifically designed for 12V systems with a 12V AC generator.
The BMS 12/200 monitors and protects individual battery cells within the battery (or battery group) separately, and disconnects the AC generator, charging sources, or DC loads in case of low battery voltage, high battery voltage, or overheating.
The AC generator connection designed for this purpose ensures current limitation and unidirectional operation from the AC generator to the battery, meaning any size AC generator (and starter battery) can be safely connected to the Smart Lithium battery(ies).
The connector designed for consumers disconnects the loads in case of low battery voltage, high battery voltage, or overheating.
The BMS unit is also equipped with a remote on/off connector, allowing the BMS (and the system) to be turned off via a remote switch.
