Smart BatteryProtect disconnects the battery from non-essential consumers before it is completely discharged (which would damage the battery) or no longer has enough energy to start the engine.
When using Bluetooth, Smart BatteryProtect can be programmed to any required connection/disconnection level. Alternatively, one of the nine predefined connection/disconnection levels can be defined using the programming pin (see manual).
Bluetooth can be disabled as required.
Smart BatteryProtect, which provides intelligent battery protection, is a unidirectional device. It only handles current in one direction – that is, the current going to the consumer or coming from the charger, but not both at the same time. Furthermore, current can only flow from the ON end to the OFF end. When used with a consumer, the battery is connected to the ON end, and when used with a charger, the charger is connected to the ON end.
