The GX GSM modem and GPS accessory for our GX family of monitoring products. The GX GSM is actually a modem operating on a mobile network, which provides mobile internet connectivity to the system and also connects to the VRM portal. It works on 2G and 3G networks.
It contains a built-in GPS receiver. When the optional GPS antenna is installed, the system becomes trackable and has a geo-fence function that acts as a virtual protective wall on the VRM portal.
Please note that many telecommunications providers are currently working on eliminating 3G networks. Therefore, be sure to consider purchasing the GX LTE 4G as a replacement product.
