The GX GSM modem is also a GPS accessory for our monitoring products in the GX family. The GX GSM is essentially a modem that operates on a mobile network, providing mobile internet connectivity to the system, and connects to the VRM portal. It operates on 2G and 3G networks.
It includes a built-in GPS receiver. When the optional GPS antenna is installed, the system becomes trackable and has a geo-fence function that acts as a virtual protective wall on the VRM portal.
Note that many telecommunications providers are currently working on phasing out 3G networks. Therefore, consider acquiring the GX LTE 4G as a replacement product.
