The MultiPlus-II combines the functions of the MultiPlus and the MultiGrid.

It has all the functions of the MultiPlus, but also an external current transformer function for the application of PowerControl and PowerAssist, and an external current sensor for optimizing self-consumption (max. 32A).

It also has all the functions of the MultiGrid, a built-in islanding protection and an ever-expanding list of approved countries. Note: for a short time this product was called MultiGrid-II. The MultiPlus-II combines the functions of the MultiPlus and the MultiGrid. It has all the functions of the MultiPlus, and also offers an external current transformer option that extends the PowerControl and PowerAssist functions to 1A. It also has all the features of the MultiGrid, with built-in islanding protection and an ever-expanding range of country-specific approvals.

PowerAssist

The MultiPlus-II prevents overloading of limited capacity AC power sources such as generators or shore power connections. First, the battery charge is automatically reduced when an overload would otherwise occur. The second stage boosts the generator or shore power with power from the battery.

ESS: Energy Storage System

The MultiPlus-II is a key component of any Victron Energy Storage System (ESS), which provides flexibility for use with MPPT solar chargers or grid-synchronous PV inverters. Examples and further detailed information can be found in the ESS (Energy Storage System) manual.

Uninterrupted AC power supply (UPS function)

In the event of a grid failure, or when shore power or generator power is disconnected, the inverter within the Multi-unit automatically switches on and takes over the power supply to the connected loads. This happens so quickly (in less than 2 milliseconds) that computers and other electrical equipment continue to operate without interruption.

Remote monitoring and control

With a GX device (e.g. Cerbo GX unit) allows you to monitor and control your Multi unit and system(s) locally (LAN), or remotely from anywhere, via the Internet, using the free VRM app and the free VRM portal. Access can be provided from phones, tablets, notebooks and computers, even for multiple operating systems. The level of control is almost endless, from setting the Multi unit to automatically start the backup generator, through countless other options.
