By continuously monitoring the voltage and current output of the solar panels (photovoltaic panels), the MPPT technology ensures the collection and storage of every bit of available energy in the panels. The advantage of this is most evident when the sky is partly cloudy, and the light intensity is constantly changing.
The BlueSolar MPPT charger can be remotely controlled and monitored through its widely available features by connecting a Bluetooth hardware key and pairing it with your smartphone or other device via VictronConnect. If your device is connected to the Internet via a GX device, the Victron remote management portal (VRM) provides access to all MPPT features anytime and anywhere; both VictronConnect and VRM can be used free of charge. For remote devices, it is also possible to monitor the MPPT with a GlobalLink 520 connection, even if there is no Internet connection nearby.
The intelligent Power output to the consumer feature prevents damage caused by completely discharged batteries. The voltage value at which the BlueSolar disconnects from the given consumer can be programmed – thus preventing the battery from being completely discharged. And here lies the clever twist: The BlueSolar attempts to recharge to 100% every day. If this is not possible due to unfavorable weather conditions, it continues to raise the disconnect voltage value every day until the operation is successful. The feature is called BatteryLife, as it helps maintain the proper condition of the battery, increasing its lifespan.
