By continuously monitoring the voltage and current output of solar cells (photovoltaic panels), MPPT technology ensures that every drop of available energy in the panels is collected and stored. The advantage of this is most obvious when the sky is partly cloudy and the light intensity is constantly changing.

The intelligent Power delivered to the consumer function prevents damage caused by completely discharged batteries. The voltage value at which the SmartSolar disconnects from the given consumer can be programmed - and thus prevents the battery from being completely discharged. And this is where the clever twist is hidden: SmartSolar attempts to recharge to 1% every day. If this is not possible due to unfavorable weather conditions, it increases the disconnection voltage value every day until the operation is successful. The function is called BatteryLife, because with this the device maintains the proper condition of the battery and increases its service life.
