The SmartSolar MPPT RS solar charge controllers are Victron's solution for systems with a large number of interconnected solar arrays charging 48V DC battery arrays. This product is perfectly suited for large-scale off-grid and on-grid battery systems.

Available in both 5.76kW and 11.52kW models, features include a wide range of solar input voltages from 8V to 45V DC, independent input tracking signals, full connectivity, isolated solar terminals, display screen, fully programmable parameters for battery charging and active cooling. The new metal housing design and fully covered electrical connections enhance safety and provide a more modern look in line with the latest family of Victron products.

MPPT: Ultra-fast, maximum power point tracking

The SmartSolar RS solar charge controller connects to a solar array between 8 and 45 V and efficiently charges a 48 V battery array at 1 A or 2 A. The charging settings are fully programmable and can be adjusted for batteries with different filling materials, such as lead-acid, lithium or others.

Setting and monitoring with VictronConnect

The SmartSolar RS charge controller It can be controlled and configured remotely via Bluetooth via the VictronConnect app. This allows you to set up, manage the device and get instant insights into information such as battery voltage and current, historical data and trends.

Additional daisy-chainable units

The SmartSolar RS charge controller is equipped with VE.Can rail connectors. This allows communication with additional SmartSolar RS & VE.Can MPPT units. The additional units are connected to each other in a simple "daisy chain" using RJ45 cables.

When connected to each other, the charging status of each charge controller is synchronized with the system. Furthermore, data can be sent to a GX monitoring device (such as the Cerbo GX) via the same cable for monitoring purposes.

Remote monitoring and control

When the GX device is connected to the Internet, the Victron Remote Management Portal (VRM) provides access to all the features offered by the SmartSolar RS solar chargers.
