The Filax product is designed to switch sensitive loads, such as computers and modern consumer electronics, from one AC source to another. The primary source is typically the mains: a generator or shore power connection. The alternative source is typically an inverter. Due to the switching time of less than 2 milliseconds, sensitive loads continue to operate without interruption. The Filax is not designed to supply power to high-power household appliances, such as washing machines or electric motors.
The Filax 2 is available in two models:
