The deep discharge tolerant flooded electrolyte (AGM) telecommunications battery product range has been developed for use in telecommunications systems. With their front access terminals and small footprint, the batteries are ideal for mounting in a frame system. Their small footprint and easily accessible terminals make them equally suitable for solving space problems on ships and vehicles.
AGM technology
The AGM designation stands for Absorbent Glass Mat. In these batteries, the electrolyte is absorbed by capillary action in a glass mat placed between the plates.
Low self-discharge
Due to the use of lead-calcium plates and high-purity materials, Victron VRLA batteries can be stored for long periods without recharging. Self-discharge is less than 2% per month at 2°C. Self-discharge doubles for every 1°C increase in temperature.
Low internal resistance
Capable of very high charge and discharge currents.
Long cycle life
More than 5 cycles at 5% depth of discharge.
