PoE Power Supplies
PoE Power Supplies and Injectors for IP Devices
Power over Ethernet (PoE) solutions allow you to supply IP cameras, access points, VoIP phones, and other network devices with data and power through a single UTP cable. In our online store, you can choose from Extralink's reliable PoE injectors, converters, and complete power supplies.
The range includes single and multi-port (4, 6, 8, 12, 16, 24 port) models, available in Fast Ethernet and Gigabit versions, as well as various voltage wall-mounted adapters. This makes it easy to set up smaller home networks as well as larger corporate or industrial PoE networks.
- 1–24 port PoE injectors, available in rack-mounted and desktop versions
- Fast Ethernet (100 Mb/s) and Gigabit (1000 Mb/s) devices
- 802.3af/at standard, active PoE solutions in A and B mode
- 24 V and 48 V voltage, 12–60 W power PoE power supplies
- PoE splitter and converter solutions for special devices (e.g., USB-C)
Applications of PoE Power Supplies
PoE power supplies and injectors are primarily used in locations where simple cabling and reliable power supply are important. These include IP camera systems, wireless access points, VoIP phone systems, outdoor or hard-to-reach network devices. A single UTP cable is sufficient for both data and power supply, thus reducing installation costs and time.
Selecting Port Number, Speed, and Design
The first step is to determine how many PoE devices need to be powered. For this, we offer 1-port injectors for individual devices, as well as 4, 6, 8, 12, 16, and 24 port solutions that can power complete camera systems or office networks. Gigabit (1000 Mb/s) models are ideal for bandwidth-intensive applications, while the 100 Mb/s (Fast Ethernet) versions provide a cost-effective alternative for general use.
- Desktop version for smaller systems
- Rack-mounted models with 12–24 ports for server and rack cabinets
- Enclosure-less versions for custom, built-in solutions
Voltage, Power, and PoE Modes
When selecting the appropriate power supply, it is important to consider the voltage (24 V or 48 V) and the maximum power (e.g., 12 W, 18 W, 24 W, 48 W, 60 W). Always check the requirements of the device to be powered and choose a PoE adapter or injector with a larger reserve. The range includes standard 802.3af/at compatible, active PoE devices with A and B mode power supply, which work safely with network devices from various manufacturers.
- 24 V PoE power supplies for lower consumption CPEs, radio devices
- 48 V, 802.3af/at active solutions for IP cameras, APs, VoIP phones
- Gigabit PoE adapters for high-traffic networks
Special Solutions: Splitters and Converters
PoE splitter and converter devices allow you to separate power and data from the PoE line or convert to another connector type (e.g., USB-C). This enables devices that do not originally support PoE to be connected to the PoE network, but can be powered through Ethernet or USB interfaces.
Practical Considerations Before Purchase
When purchasing, it is advisable to consider the environmental conditions (temperature, ventilation), the placement (wall-mounted adapter or injector fitting into a rack cabinet), and the possibility of future expansion. If more PoE devices are expected to connect to the network, it is wise to choose a model with a larger port number or higher power to ensure the system can operate stably in the future.
