What is an AGM battery?

An AGM battery is an energy storage battery that is widely used. It can power toys as well as alarm systems. The AGM battery forms the heart of every UPS.

Application

Green Cell AGM batteries can be used in a very wide range of applications. They can be used in both cyclic and buffer modes.

Cyclic mode

The cyclic mode of the battery means that it is used as an independent power source. AGM batteries of this type are designed for frequent charging and discharging.

Buffer mode

The buffer mode allows the battery to provide emergency power supply functionality to the connected device. In case of failure of the main power source, the battery connected to the power supply system provides additional energy.

In this form, they are used in wheelchairs, photovoltaic systems, golf carts, toys, and lawn mowers.

They are also used in alarm systems, UPSs, cash registers, or emergency lighting systems.

No maintenance required

Batteries made with AGM technology are designed to provide the highest level of safety during use. Special fiberglass ensures that the electrolyte does not leak from the device, allowing the battery to be recharged and discharged without worrying about losing parameters. Thanks to the self-regulating function of AGM batteries (VRLA valves), they provide over 5 years of maintenance-free operation. This increases the safety of the device, regardless of the battery's position.

Safety

AGM batteries are designed to operate even under the most extreme conditions. Thanks to the fiberglass used, electrolyte leakage can be prevented, allowing the battery to be used in any position without the risk of leakage. This is particularly important for electric-powered toys, which are subjected to various types of physical impacts. This makes Green Cell AGM batteries completely safe for users.
